I have just purchased a Link Station Pro Duo model LS-WTGL/R1.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop, an iMac and a wireless router. I connected the Link Station to the router using ethernet cable, ran the install CD on my Sony and found the LS straightaway. Did the same on my iMac but it didn't appear to install properly and didn't find the LS. If I load Nas Navigator on the iMac I get message "You cannot open the application "NasNavigator" because it ois not supported on this architecture". The help files on the CD are very basic. Anyone help please?

My second problem. I want to use the LS for backing up the 2 PCs. On the Sony Vaio I ran Norton Ghost which I have been using for about a year (using USB attahed disc storage as the destination). The Ghost backup to the LS ran OK but took five times longer than before - why?

I checked the LS share folder to make sure the backup worked OK and the backup files were as expected. To check that the restore was valid I used Norton Ghost to explore the recovery points but Ghost hung indefinitely when I tried to "explore" the latest backup on the LS. I tried this several times with same result. I can see the Ghost files on the LS using Windows explorer but cannot appear to access them with Ghost - a significant problem! Any suggestions welcome.

You can down load the mac version of the software, however it is not needed.  Go --> connect to ---> server then type smb://IP_OF_BUFFALO <enter>

this will map the drive for you in your mac

Ethernet will take longer to transfer data, your nas device stores the data in a XFS file format, the conversion process takes time. 

I'm a newbie on here and can't seem to post a message so i'm having to reply to this one in the hope that someone moves it to the correct area, apologises in advance.

I have just bought a link station live 1GB drive and using a Mac Pro with snow leopard, my issue is we don't have a router to connect to and i'm trying to use the second ethernet connection in the back of my mac pro but to no avail? Is there something i'm missing, the software loads correctly but it cannot detect the drive, all the lights are static on the drive.

Please help!!!
