Title: Unable to Setup Web Access
Post by: Lufbra on September 28, 2009, 11:21:13 AM
I am having problem with setting up web access on my Link Station Quad. I do not have any problem web access via www.buffalonas.com with my Buffalonas Name from my home network. When I tried to access from outside my home, I can only connect if I specify my WAN IP:9000, and not from www.buffalonas.com with my Buffalonas Name. Can someone advice what the problem could be? Thanks.

Also make sure you open port 9000 tcp/udp on your router.  Test to make sure you opened the port right by going to canyouseeme.org.

The current firmware on my LinkStation Quad is 1.11 which I had read on the forum to be very current.

My port 9000 tcp/ udp on my router is open, and I can see my port from canyouseeme.org.

As I had mentioned earlier, I am able to connect to web access if I connect via my WAN IP from outside my home network. However, when I use www.buffalonas.com, it doesn't work.

Please advice on next step. Thanks.
