Title: Updating LinkStation Pro Duo (LS-W2.0TGL/R1-V3) firmware to 3.10 on Mac?
Post by: cpressey on September 20, 2009, 12:39:03 PM

I have a Linkstation Pro Duo LS-W@.0TGL/R1-V3 connected to an Airport Extreme base station. The LS has a static IP on my network.

I am connecting with a MacBook Pro 2.6GHz Intel Core Duo running OS X 10.6.1.  I connect to my network and the LinkStation wirelessly without problems.

I cannot, however, find instructions on how to update the firmware on the LS to 3.10.

Can anyone give me instructions on how to update the firmware from a Mac?

Thanks in advance.

You cannot update the firmware on any of our units from a Mac.

That's certainly unfortunate for a product that's advertised as having Mac support and will be taken into consideration for my next NAS purchase needs.

Does anyone have instructions for or has anyone had luck updating firmware using Parallels and XP or Vista?

It pretty much a hit or miss on that one too.

Sigh.  With all due respect, that's not incredibly helpful....
