Title: Media Server problem with Quad Nas
Post by: PhilDunford on September 19, 2009, 12:26:15 PM

I've just installed the syabas 1.11 software supplied with the unit.

I've placed some audio files in the audio directory.

I can access the media server web page fine, and it shows my files. However, when I try to play them, the media player Active X control momentarily looks like it's going to play them and then flicks back to idol. Whenever I press play it comes on for a second and then stops again. The page asked to embed V 6.4 of media player which seems quite old.

Is there a newer version of the syabas software or am I doing something wrong?

Everything else on the unit is working fine.

I'm having a hard time finding anything about that software. Can you give me the model number of the NAS? From your IP address, I can see that you're in the UK, but I can't even find anything on the European site about that software being included with the unit. Where did you install the software? On the NAS itself, or on a computer?
