Hi Jea

i have a 1To linkstation with no raid

i initialized my linkstation and it takes 4steps and each step takes 10hrs approx :( :( so totally 40hrs

you can see the advancement on your web admin page.

It takes quite a while if there is an issue found with the filesystem at all, usual time is about 6-8 hours but may be substantially more if errors are found. You can see what the current status is by opening up the admin interface and going into Disk Management -> Drive Properties, in the RAID Array status you should see an estimate of how much time is left on the check.
