Title: Linkstation Pro Duo 1TB fails to boot after power cut
Post by: rrrrrr on September 15, 2009, 07:07:47 AM

Hi,

I've been running a LS Pro Duo 1TB for quite a while (+1 year) without any problems up to now. The package says it is a LS-W1.0TGL/R1 which probably means hw release one. I know there are other newer hw versions out there. I think it was running 1.08 but I can not check that at the moment.

We had a power cut the other night and now the LS does not reboot anymore and none of the tools I used can detect it. Additionally I can not get it into EM-mode.

When disconnected from mains and rebooted all I get is a flashing power led (green) and the network activity led (green as well, and flashing). NASNavigator2 can not find it on the network and the previously used fixed ip does not bring up the web gui anymore.

Because I can not get it into EM mode I do not get any diagnostic led messages either. There are no acoustic signals at all.

So are there suggestions on how to recover the LS, and preferably without losing the data on it?
