How long does a reformat take? It's been like 2 days....I'm sure that can't be right? Firmware version 2.11, HS-DH500GL

That is a fairly long time.  Is it hung up at any point on the reformat or is it still going just really slowly?

It's just saying it's formatting. No error messages or anything.... :(?

Since the drive isn't in a valid format chkdsk is not possible. If the unit is new (i.e. 2-3 weeks old) return it to the retailer/e-tailer. If you have purchased it within the year I would contact your regional tech support. Outside of the US I'm not certain of the return policy but inside the US you have 365 days from the date of purchase.

Just as a helpful reminder if you ever want to start from scratch all you have to do is delete the RAID Array and put a new one on.  Its a lot quicker, and normally you will have no problems.
