OK here goes:
1. I had to get a new internal HD for my laptop so i had to reinstall the buffalo software onto my new internal laptop HD to get the drivestation to work.
2. I configured the LAN side of things for the NAS drive and it created a shortcut on the desktop.
3. I can go into "options" on the software and see all the NAS information (IP address, % of HD used etc)
4. When i click on the shortcut, it comes up with an error message
"the unit might not be connected to the network. Please confirm the USB/LAN is lit in green then try again 30 seconds later. Even the connection does not suceed though, try again after reboot your computer. If the host name is changed, please reboot your computer and create shortcut by drivestationnavigator utility."
4. I have reinstalled the software, rebooted my PC, checked all connections to my NAS drive. It was working before and i could see the files over LAN before but not now.
5. I can see the files fine when i connect via USB.
I am in the UK btw if that makes a diff...?
My model number is HD-CELU2 i think? I got that from the options pages (the one that has the NAS's IP address on it). I am using windows XP (using wireless N). I have a Belkin wireless N router connected via cat5 to the buffalo drive.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope these pics help? I have blanked out the IP address just incase....
