I have a rather unusual issue when synching files to/from the Link Station which has so far happened when synching my iPod to a share on the link station and Memo Auto Synch. The synch process runs for a while then stops. iTunes throws up an error message and Memo just stops. The shares are no longer available and if you look at the network connections in Windows Vista the connection is showing with a bid red X to the internet, and the local connection an exclamation mark.
As a result all of my network access is broken and the only way I can get it back is to reboot the PC. Once rebooted it works, I kick of a synch again and it happens again, consistently.
At first I thought it may just be an iTunes quirk when storing files on a NAS device, however as I said this happens with the Memo synch also now.
The PC is running Vista Ultimate and I have upgraded the LS to the latest firmware revision. The network itself is Gigabit through an HP switch.
Anyone got an idea what could be causing this and how to resolve.
TIA
Damian
You would have to contact Memeo support seeing as how it is their software causing the issue.
Yes that would be normal course of action, however exactly the same thing happens if I use iTunes which indicates to me Buffalo.

Hi,
I am also experiencing the same problem when I am using Memeo backup. Last night I starten Memeo backup and when I got up this morning and had a look at my copmuter there was a warning message from the Memeo software that it was unable to access my Linkstation and when I tried through Windows explorer there were no Linkstation to be found anywhere on my network. The only think that worked was pinging the linkstation. After Linkstation restart it worked ok again, is this a Memeo probelm?
