Title: Changing FTP port on HS-DHGL 750 GB Linkstation
Post by: bobbyd on September 02, 2009, 08:54:18 AM

Hi!

I have already pointed my router to another ftp device on the network through port 21. is it possible to change the ftp port on this storage device( HS-DHGL 750 GB Linkstation) to port 20? my router will only allow 1 rule for port 21, which is already being used, so i will not be able to use the default settings on the storage device.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

B.

Hi Josh,

Yes, I've tried port 20... doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

Not really.  Do you have FTP checked under the share folder support. Click on share folders and then click on the shares that you want tohave FTP support check the box for FTP and apply it.  After you havedone all that go to service setup and make sure that FTP is checkedthere also.  After you do that dissconnect all your drives, restartyour PC and remap the drives.
