Title: Linkstation LS-XH1.0TL how to get in Emergency Mode?
Post by: ecaps81 on August 26, 2009, 06:35:28 AM

Hello

I get a firmware error code (6 short blinks) on my LS-XH1.0TL, I called Buffalo Support in Austria and they dont know the model. They said to wait 60 seconds and then pull the Powercable, tried it like 40 times now, it never booted in EM-Mode. Since the Boot only takes 25 seconds it seems strange to pull it at 60 seconds. Can anyone tell me how to get in Emergency mode with this model?

thx ecaps81

Look at the Sticky threads, FAQ 1 of 3, a little way above your thread!

If the led flashes red six times, it means you are getting error E06 which means that either your boot image is gone or your harddisk is unaccessable.

At this time, starting the unit in EM mode means that it will attempt a tftp boot. If there is not tftp server with the right image, it will continue to boot from the harddisk and as there is no boot image or the harddisk is nor recognized, the unit will not boot in EM mode either.

The following links together with the stickies should provide you with all the information you need.
