Title: Secure Lock Ware enabled error message
Post by: trasmus on August 24, 2009, 05:54:02 PM
I just reconnected a SATA hard drive and restarted my computer.  This message appeared.  "The attached device is Secure Lock Ware enabled.  It is necessary to reboot in order to activate the encryption function.  Do you wish to reboot now?  I have a Buffalo DVD writer but I had removed it from the computer a month ago.  I just installed the new version of Windows 7 and have been using it for several weeks.  The only think that I did was shut off the computer, reattach another SATA internal drive and restart.  I have done a search on your forum but nothing comes back for Secure Lock Ware Password Input.  Thanks for any help you can give me.  Sincerely.  Tony Rasmus III

Did you use the lockware before or after you put data on the drive?

Also please don't post the issue that you are having twice (once in the wrong location).  Im going to remove your other thread.  Lastly understand that I will help you to the best of my abilities but windows 7 is not yet supported.
