Title: Problem in setting up NAS
Post by: kwok1848 on August 09, 2009, 06:02:12 PM

Hi,

I hope you folks can help ..

I am having a problem setting up NAS. I plugged in my USB hard drive (also Buffalo), on the "share folder" page I don't have the first 4 lines of the screen where you can enter a "share folder name" etc (like in the user manual). I only have lines 5 and 6 "Access limit function" and "web access".

    Does anybody know to config?

    Thanks in advance.

If you haven't solved this on your own yet, try going into the Disk Management tab, and assigning the disk name, instead of letting it auto-assign.

Also, the disk has to be formatted with FAT or XFS (and it seems that XFS works better overall).
