Model LS-W1.0TGL/R1-V3. Firmware v3.09. Configured as RAID 1. Network Type set to Active Directory. When I attempt to assign a group or user to read/write, nothing happens. I can assign to read.
When you say nothing happens what exactly do you mean? Dou mean that you get user/group into there and when you attempt to map the share it is not prompting for credentials?

When in Active Directory mode, the UI has an area for groups and another for users. Each area has 3 boxes, 1 for groups/users added to read/write, 1 for groups/users added to read, 1 with the list of available groups/users. The read/write and read boxes have 2 arrows, 1 pointing left to add, 1 pointing right to remove.
When attempting to add a group or user to read/write, I highlight the group/user that I want to add, then click the left-pointing arrow next to the read/write box. Nothing happens, i.e. the group/user does not get added and the read/write box remains empty. If I do this same thing for the read box, the group/user will be added, but of course, this is not the permission that I want.
Ngult,
Unfortunately this is a problem that we are still working on. I have forwarded the information and we will do what we can. The delagate authority method should provide a temporary fix.

I don't know if this problem has been fixed or not but I experienced the same thing; however, if you first add it to read only and then click the arrow to add it to read/write, it will put the group in there. Note, if you have a group in read/write, and then give -say Domain Users - read access, the read/write access will be nixed. It suck because I want to give domain users read to the share and read/write to a different group; however, it seems that since the users in the second group are also in Domain Users, the read only permissions trump the read/write.
What firmware are you using?
