Hi there,

I just bought a Linkstation Live LSCHL  1To :

LS-CHL1.0TL-V2

What i've done yesterday : 

Setup all acces restriction, FTP enable, mail warning (for maintenance), and create some share with copy almoste 80GO on it.

I've also enable the torrent client, and launch some torrent to download directly on the nas (default folder was bittorent).

I let the NAS go for download, and stop my PC (vista 64 bits)

Next day, here what i got : 

Can acces via FTP, no probleme with that, except impossible to naviguate through share i set, even with restriction with proper user.

Can see share, and naviguate, but it crash explorer sometimes (especially when going to see the bittorent folder)

Can't acces to Admin Web, because there is no login prompt, i see all the gui like the banner "Buffalo", but no login prompt...so i can't acces to the configuration.

I tried to flash with new firmware (the one i downloaded :  1.21) , got a ACP_STATE_FAILURE.

My actual firmware is :  1.10-0.73

By the way, all of the Unix command is like chinese to me (windows user inside :p ), and dunno what to do next.

I try to see what i can do, but dunno where to start first....

If someone can help me...

Small update, i think i've brick it.. dunno

Tried to force update (with debug mode of firmware update), with all options (includes clear user configuration / formating table partition / do not check version / force update)

It's now on EM mode, and i tried to reinstall firmware, still ACP_STATE_FAILURE....

owwww, what i've done :(

Edit:  tried to reboot the NAS, got 6 short flash, E06 error? can't get info on this...

Update :

I tried to reboot manually the LS-CHL, it continue to show 6 short flash red on status led, so i tried the TFTP solution.

TFTP worked, blocks were send to the NAS, but it appears that the NAS still in EM mode : the blue status led continues to flash repeatidly. dunno what it does, maybe a disk scan?

I tried to reboot after that, but i ended up with the 6  red flashes.

Nas Navigator didn't seem to see the NAS....same for flash updater...

Dunno what to do now :s

The 6 red flashing lights mean that it cannot find hard drive.  So pretty much it sounds like your hard drive is not being recognized.  I would call tech support to have them set up a replacement if the device is within the 1 year warranty.

I've contact the support, but they told me that using TFTP boot is a warranty break, so they can't help me...

By chance, i got a new one from my seller (warranty exist there...) and i've set up all like the old one.

But i'm too afraid to use the bittorrent client again, don't want it to crash again... (i have successfully upgraded it to 1.21 ^^)

Waiting to see new firmware if the bittorent client is bugged to hell (maybe it does not support large bittorent file downloaded?)

I realize that it's a little late but after the TFTP boots the unit in EM mode you need to flash the firmware.

I've tried to do it, but can't, keeping saying me that "ACP_STATE_FAILURE" error.

Nothing more i could do with it
