Title: Still No WebAccess LinkStation Duo Pro
Post by: drac on August 14, 2009, 07:22:05 AM

This is another attempt to get Web Access working.

I have a  LS-WTGL495 / LS-WTGL/R1-V3 F/W 3.08.  Linksys router WRT54G (V1) with 1 wired PC and 3 wireless PCs.  Plus the wired NAS of course.  ISP is Comcast.

I have this NAS up and working on our LAN, but I can't find it from a WAN connection. Autogonfig is disabled the port is set to 9000.  The router has port 9000 enabled for the NAS's LAN IP.  I can ping 9000 on the LAN okay, but if I ping from the WAN, I get a "timed out".  Also, if I ping port 8080 (the router) I get "connection refussed" rather than "timed out".

Please tell me there is a way (and what it is if possible).

Don

its simple, either your port forwarding is not set correctly or is not working at all. Go to www.canyouseeme.org and scan for port 9000 and let me know if it says connection refuse or not.

That is the site I used confirm "timed out".  No luck.

It sounds like your port 9000 is not open correctly than.  I would recommended contacting the manufacturer of your router to have them walk you through the steps to open the ports.
