Title: TS III (TS-XL/R5) firmware upgrade on mac ?

   hi list,
 
where is the right way to upgrade my firmware on the TS-XL/R5 with my mac ?
wan´t from 1.02 -> 1.06
 
some mac´s here.
 
PPC G5 dual 2,3
iMac intel C2D 2,66
MB 2.x white......
all with leopard 10.5.x
 
installed NASNavigator 2.18 and 2.19
network:
 
TS III: 192.168.0.198
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway:  192.168.0.1
 
my mac: 192.168.0.110
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway:  192.168.0.1
 
testet with and without router (plugged in direktly in my G5 or macbook)
 
this stupid nasnavi can´t find his nas.
firewall or something like this is all inactive
 
 
can ping or portscan to the TS III.
only the stupid nasnavi can´t find the TS III
 
there is another way to upgrade the firmware with the terminal ?
TS is a unix system..or not ?
 
looking for some FAQ´s or any link.
the documentation is.....sorry.....bull**bleep**
 
any hints for me guy´s

   The firmware can only be installed from a Windows OS at the moment.

can´t upgrade a unix sxstem with a unix.

 

anyway...thanx davo for your quick answer.

my problem isn´t solved.

 

for the next NAS this is a criterion for exclusion.

here for me and my customers.
