Title: Linkstation Live LS-CH1.OTL - IP Address not resetting after router is reset
Post by: dolgml1983 on August 09, 2009, 07:45:13 PM
I have a LinkStation Live; Model No. LS-CH1.OTL; Firmware: 1.07. When I reset my router the IP address associated with my LinkStation doesn't get reset or doesn't get reset correctly. An IP address shows up in NSANavigator but it's completely different from the IP address that are associated with my router. All the computers on my network get reset and their connection to the network is reestablished. NASNavigator cannot see the drive nor can any of the other computers on network. A message comes up in NASVanigator asking if I want the IP address to reestablished (sorry don't remember the exact message). This fails. The drive does have DHCP enabled. I turn the drive off & on and this fixes the problem. Is there something else that I need to be setting on the drive so that the IP address gets reset correctly?

You should disable DHCP and just set a static IP address on the unit.  You can do this by logging into the user interface and click on network.
