hi, im having problem with my external hard drive that i bought here in the philippines. that hardware is fine, the problem is when i try to download the software from the buffalo's web site and ask for the serial number which i provide a 14 digit number code, it say's invalid serial number? why is that? hope you could help me guy's thanks in advance... by the way below is the information of my harddrive..

If you purchased the product new, media should be in box on CD.
If not, you'll have to determine what locality your mini was originally sold in.
If it was originally sold in the Philippines, you'll need to contact Buffalo support in the Philippines.

If you are certain it's a US-local model that somehow ended up there, you'll have to contact Buffalo US who has contact info at: http://www.buffalotech.com/home/
and explain that the US model is not registering as a valid US serial number on the webpage for downloading.
Long story short, you'll need to know where this product was originally sold so you can get the media from the corresponding region. Not the answer you wanted, but not much the forum community here can do for you in general given it's a product localization issue :(
You could wait and see if someone from Buffalo can help you on the forums, but fastest way for this would be to call them.
