Title: Drivestation not recognized by Mac, won't mount

I have a Japanese 1TB HardDisk HD-M1.OTIBSU2, which seems to be the same as the Drivestation Combo 4. It's partitioned into 4 sections, none of which are mounting, yet all contain valuable data :-(

I'm running OSX 10.5.7, have tried multple macs/pcs, and have used different cables for both usb/firewire. It simply starts up and spins, but no mounting. It's also not found in disk utility and shows up unrecognized in the system profiler.

Simply put, it doesn't exist. Any idea how to get me back up, at least to get the data off? I need all the help I can get.

You said it isn't showing up on PCs either? How about in disk management? Did all of the Macs that you tried this on run 10.5.7?

Also understand that these forums are for US products only, I will assist you as much as I can.

Thanks for your help. I know it's for U.S. products, but I"m not having much luck here (in Japan) as it is.

No, it's not showing up on pcs. I've actually been without it for months now, both before and after the 10.5.7 update, so it's not working in multiple environments.

No idea where to go from here though!

Is it showing up in the disk utility or device manager?

Nothing in the disk utility, and "unidentified device" in the device manager.

I'm having a very similar problem with a mac. In Disk Utility it just says "untitled." Any resolution?

What device? What file format and what MAC OS?
