I have a linkstation live v2 running 2.10 firmware(i think)

i did a backup to usb drive last night, this morning i turned off the NAS unpluged the usb drive and turned it back on. 

The green power led flashed continusoly for about a minute then the red error led flashed 4 times and continulous error beep sounded.  (is this an E04 error)

i turned it off and on again a few times with the same error.

i then left it for a few minutes and turned it on again.  it now boots and after a while the power light and the link/act goes constent as if it's on as normal but i cant access the web ui or any of the shares.

I can ping the box and when i enter the ip address in a browser the address changes to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/cgi-bin/top.cgi but gives me a "connection was reset" error.

it also resonds to a shutdown command when i hold down the power button, it beeps, the power led flashes for a bit and it powers down.

Any ideas?

Try booting into em mode:

Thanks for your post, unfortunatly that appears to have finished it off.

i can still ping the box but nasnavi and the update tool can nolonger see the box.  still cant conect to the web interface and i have also noticed that the fan in the back is not spinning.
