Title: Still Having problems setting up drives on my LS220DE
Post by: pelliott321 on June 08, 2019, 02:20:16 PM
Still cannot get shared folder to show up
Two new same model 8TB HDs
I reformatted drives
Set up RAID 0
Created user, gave W/R,
in hduser group, gave W/R rights to user group
created a shared folder
SMB is on, no other apps no access to web
Shared folder still not visible or available
Tried RUN .... //192.168.1.40/shared name with no luck

Map the network drive and tick the box to connect different credentials. Enter one of your Linkstation user. If you use Nas Navigator, run or type the address: windows will pass the windows account but not fall back to guest anymore so you get an error.

Finally, I got what I wanted.
I deleted the Raid array
created shared folders on each drive
rebooted the NAS
the folders showed up on the PC
