Title: TS-RIGL TFTP procedure
Post by: attende on July 21, 2009, 08:41:22 AM
   We have 2 terastation: a NAS and a ISCSI.
Last week I performed a firmware upgrade and I had a blackout.
So, to recover my Terastation II (NAS), I used the procedure with the TFTP and, after many try, I flashed the firmware correctly.

But to flash the firmware I needed to edit the TSUpdater.ini file in this way to bypass some version check.

[Target]
;ProductID = 0x00002008
;Name = TS-RHTGL
Password = password

I have three questions:
- is this the procedure correct?
- why I need to edit the file Tsupdater.ini?
- In case of ISCSI storage fault, the procedure to flash the firmware I think is the same, but is there a TFTP exe for the ISCSI terastation Pro II?

Thanks

That would be the corrrect procedure for a force firmware update, you can try a regular firmware update (without editing the ini file).  That procedure is listed here:

It doesn't look like we have TFTP for the iscsi units.  I will look into that for you.
