Title: Buffallo Terastation PRO II Power Supply & Tech Suppt Problems

I have a Terastation PRO II. Initially, I was very happy with the product. It's incredibly easy to set up and maintain, and response time on these drives is fast. The problem is poor quality. A few months after I purchased it, the power supply went bad. This first incident was handled well by Tech Suppt. I put in an RMA request and had the replacement Tower sent to me the next day. However, a few months later, the power supply goes bad again. This time I put in an RMA request and a full week later, I still can't get a straight answer as to whether or not my replacement tower has shipped?!? The RMA page on their website clearly implies that it could take up to 48 hours to ship. This is what the support tech said to me when I called last Tuesday. Yet here we are a full week later, and they "think it may have shipped" but cannot provide me with a tracking number.

 

This is poor customer service - and that's being kind. I'll never buy a product from Buffalo again, nor will I ever recommend a product from Buffalo to any of my peers or colleagues.
