Title: Clicking Noise from MiniStation Plus - HD-PNT1.0U3B
Post by: bergman on March 20, 2019, 03:36:48 PM
I have a MiniStation Plus - HD-PNT1.0U3B that has worked flawlessly. It is connected to the USB port on my Dlink router. I just replaced the router with a newer Dlink router. When connected to the newer router, the drive clicks. It worked fine on the old router. Is there some known power demand issue with these drives? Any fix? It is out of warranty.

Does it spin up and work when connected to a computer? If so, then the culprit is likely not enough power from the USB port on the new router.
