Title: SED wit Buffalo Desktop Nas?
Post by: MDA on January 30, 2019, 12:39:06 PM
I was wondering if anyone knows if any of Buffalo's desktop NAS options are capable of using drives with their own SED?

I need to use a SED instead of the encryption native to Buffalo's OS. Does any of Buffalo's options provide the ability to use a third party SED?

buffalo uses the first and second partition of the disks for the firmware.
self encrypting drives needs a key to start
you can not boot from this drives
