Title: How to access (PC) password-protected HD-LXU3 from Mac
Post by: notBobToo2 on January 03, 2019, 09:53:46 AM
I'm replacing an aging PC with a new Mac Mini. I used the HD-LXU3 on the PC for backups (Acronis and Paragon) as well as simply copying files to a couple of "save" folders. I would like to copy the contents of the "save" folders to the Mac. (One time operation; then keep the HD-LXU3 as offline archive.) When I connect the HD-LXU3 to the Mac, I can see the drive and the root directory. When I click the password.exe file, I get a message such as "cannot run Windows programs ..." Is there any way to get around the password, to access the files on the HD-LXU3 from the Mac?

You'll have to move the contents off the drive and remove the encryption using Windows.
