Title: Please help with setting up webaccess restrictions per folder
Post by: hvuong on July 09, 2009, 04:59:50 PM

My issue is as follows: I have 2 folders :

the default "share" one which I have set up to "allow all groups/users"

a "private" folder which I have set up with "use inherited folder permissions".  The said "private" folder has access restrictions on "enabled" and below that, I have granted user "me" read/write acess.

Now when I webacess my Linstation through buffalonas, I get prompted for my logins. Entering "me"/"mepassword" connects me but only shows content of the "share" folder. The "private" folder does not show at all. What have I done wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm, with those configurations this should work...  What linkstation and what firmware are you running?  Also the "me" user isn't the admin right?
