Title: How to change bittorrent mananger port from 8080 to other port
Post by: cgthay on July 08, 2009, 11:03:40 AM

Hi,

Can anyone guide me on how to change the bittorrent manager port from 8080 to other port.

Currently i've enabled port forwarding 8080 but it is quite insecure as anyone who knows the ip/domain name can easily access it.

Regards,

Chuanguang

You can forward a different wan port and forward it to LAN port 8080, but that is about the only option.  Bittorrent client strickly uses port 8080.  I can send a feature request to our engineers for you though.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the explaination.

I'll take a look @ port translation for this case.

Also it would be great if you could forward this issue to ur engineers.

Thank you.
