Title: FTP
Post by: Hans_W on November 16, 2018, 07:39:20 AM
Hi, I'm new here. Hope I write in the correct section of the forum.

I need help. I'm trying to build an FTP in my Buffalo LS-WVLD8F NAS. I have success so far I can reach my new FTP with FileZilla from inside my LAN on a 192.168.... address, but when I try from the outside I get  an error message in FileZilla saying ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by the server. Something in my Buffalo NAS doesn't want me to enter from the outside world. Can anyone help me? What can be wrong?

Regards Hans

You will likely need to set up port forwarding on your router. FTP uses TCP port 21. Check your router's manual on how to set up port forwarding.
