Title: Red light on Linkstation Quad
Post by: bouklyloo on July 06, 2009, 03:42:49 AM

Hi,

I recently bought a Linkstation Quad and I have had a few problems when turning it on. My firmware is up to date and I am running Mac OS X leopard.

1) When I turn on the machine sometimes the LED light starts to blink red, I have read a bit about it and I learnt that it was a RAID error. How do I fix it (my firmware IS up do date)??

2) Sometimes when I turn on the machine, it starts to work properly but after around 6-7 hours some of the hard drives start to fail (some disk LEDs turn red). How do I fix this?

Thanks

Isnt this the same thread you created here?

Please don't make more than one thread for one issue, as it clogs up our message board!

All these issues will most likely be fixed by one solution as they are all probably cause by the same thing.

If this is infact a RAID issue, you will want to try deleting and re-building the array. Along with a RAID issue, it could be one or more faulty drives, in which case you will need to contact local support for replacements.
