Title: MAC OS X 10.4.11: Linkstation Quad Zero Space Available But Only 1.91% Of Drive In Use
Post by: Micajah on July 05, 2009, 07:49:38 PM

We got problems. I have a 6TB Linkstation Quad in the default RAID 5 setup. I am runnin MAC OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger).

Here's the problem, I am only using 1.91% of my LS (data from the LS web interface) but I am being told I have no space available.

To connnect to the server I do the following: Go (in Finder) >>>> Connect to Server @ which point I am prompted for the server address. I input smb://serverIP. Following this I am prompted to select which SMB/CIFS shared volume I want to connect to. There is dropdown menu with two choices, info & share. I click SHARE and then OK.

The Share icon then appears on my desktop and on the left hand side of the Finder window. When I click the SHARE icon in Finder I see the folders I have created. The problem is it is telling me I have Zero KB available. I know this not to be true b/c: 1) I know I haven't put that much data on the LS & 2) The LS web interface says I have only used 1.91% of thedrive capacity.

What am I doing wrong that I am only limited to a small fraction of the total drive???
