Really need some advice here as I'm at my wits end.
I have a Buffalo HD-CX500U2 and the usb appeared to not connect to the pc and kept saying malfunction etc. so I purchased a different buffalo casing with a pcb in the hope I could use that. it detects but now requests I format the hard drive, which I don't want to do, or will lose my data. Buffalo themselves are of no help. Does anyone know what I can to retrieve my data. the drives encrypted but I do know the password, I'm just not getting anything pop up to suggest i log in. Please help!!!!
