I have LinkStation LS420D0202 with no OS. Need help to reset and install 1 new 4 tb drive. Can someone help me on how to do this?

You'll need th recovery image for the unit as the OS was on the original disks, also, you will need two working disks for the initial installation, it won't work with one.

**Note: there is also a LS420DS which has different firmware, make sure you've got the right one before you start

I ran through the process on my LS420D to confirm, the process will work with only one drive installed. when it comes up it will flash the red led and there is an error in the web interface about the missing drive.... but you can install the firmware with just 1 drive if you want.
