Title: Linkstation Duo L220
Post by: mattyn on October 28, 2018, 06:50:03 AM
Hi Guys

My Linkstation LS220D with 2 x 3TB HDD has been running faultlessly up until this weekend.

I now cannot see it in Navigator 2 nor on searching for it on the network!

I can ping it, but cannot access the main screen when going to its IP address through Explorer/Edge or Google or Safari - where I get a blnk grey screen.

On the unit itself, I get a blinking red/orange light - 1 x long, 1 x short.

So, can someone please tell me how recoverable this is?  Have I lost my data? I think the blinking is saying the raid cannot be mounted (i have it as a simple 6TB drive).

I cannot access the settings either so cannot access the check raid array utility.

any thoughts?

TIA

Matt

Sounds like you have had a disk failure and the unit was set to RAID0. With RAID0 if one disk fails then the data on the other disk is gone too.

If you remove the front cover is there a light against the indicators for disk1 or 2?

I thought that too but no, there is no light against either of the disks.
