Title: Migrating from Linkstation LS220DE to LS520DE
Post by: gus_inovacor on October 17, 2018, 11:38:48 AM
Hi,
Does anyone know how to migrate from a LS220DE to a newer LS520DE? I have two XFS disks, not RAID, inside of my LS220DE. Would it  be as easy as move them into the new LS520DE? Is there a chance to lose some disk data?
Also, I,m assuming I'll lose my current LS220DE backups job info, IP settings and all the rest of settings. Am I correct?
Thank you,
Gus

The LS520 uses a completely different operating system. You will need to back up your data before doing the move, the drives will get erased and re-formatted by the LS520.
