Title: Access Denied - AD Network Share - Terastation TS1200D
Post by: SThackeray on October 12, 2018, 08:50:00 AM
Good Afternoon All,

I have recently purchased a Terastation TS1200D, i have plugged it in, connected it to AD, and created my first shared folder giving it the necessary AD groups and users.

I can navigate to the share but cannot modify it in any way.  When i check the security tab it doesn't show any of my AD groups (not sure if it should).

Not sure what i have done wrong, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam

On the TS1200 you can only change permissions on the top level share. It must be done in the TeraStation UI and the only options are read only, read/write, and no access.

You can't really change anything using the folder properties sheet.

If you want to be able to set granular rights comparable to Windows you need a TS3010 or TS5010 series NAS.
