Title: HD-LXU3 Set as standard drive
Post by: neilsroberts on September 28, 2018, 07:30:26 AM

I have an HD-LUX3 that I no longer need as an encrypted drive, so would like to reformat(?) it so it appears as standard external drive. How do I do that?

I understand I'll lose any data on it.

Use the secure lock manager easy software that comes with it and choose the option to reset to factory defaults, this will remove the password and erase the data

But does that then remove encryption? As that is what I want to do, not just erase data.
