Title: Cannot access linkstation in File Explorer
Post by: mperantie on July 20, 2018, 09:57:19 PM
My LS-WVLF89: LinkStation is no longer accessible in File Explorer.  I can see the device in Network->Media Devices, but when I click on it, my browser opens a webpage for something called twonky.   The Twonky server is definitely on my local network because it has an unroutable IP address.  I can see some of my files (specifically, music, videos, and photos in this format although the organization of them has been lost).  I cannot see other files like Word and pdf documents.  I don't want to ever see twonky again.  I just want my normal file structure back.

Why did it change?  How do I prevent it from changing again?  How do I again access the files with explorer?  I just want to mount the linkstation as a network drive.

What OS are you using? If Win10 is SMB1 still enabled on the PC?

Thank you.  This was exactly my problem.   Apparently Microsoft in its infinite wisdom disabled SMB when it updated to Creator's edition.
