Title: Replace working drive in LS420D
Post by: livellacri on July 15, 2018, 03:05:38 PM
Hi,

I have a Linkstation LS420D with two 3 tb drives (RAID 1) and I want to replace one of them with an new drive, even if it still working.
Can I simply follow the procedure for failed drives (https://www.buffalotech.com/knowledge-base/replacing-a-failed-drive-on-a-buffalo-linkstation (https://www.buffalotech.com/knowledge-base/replacing-a-failed-drive-on-a-buffalo-linkstation))?

Can you confirm that there are no problems if I replace the 3 tb drive with a 4 tb one? (I know that the size of the RAID will remain 3 tb, but I prepare it for a future upgrade)

Thanks.
