Title: HD-LCU3 not being seen in Win 10 explorer but is shown in the device manager
Post by: rwingjr on July 14, 2018, 01:47:24 AM
My HD-LCU3 all of a sudden wasn't in my windows explorer. It is shown in my device manager which says it's working properly. However, the event viewer shows that it " was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match." I uninstalled the USB and restarted everything, but it's still doing the same thing. I can not find the drive in the Disk Management tool though. If I could, I would try changing the drive letter. A few days ago I got a Windows update, so I'm wondering if the issue is with that. The disc does have power, and I can feel the hard drive start when I plug it in. I tried the drive in my laptop but that also got a Windows 10 update about the same time the desktop did, and it's not showing up there either. I'm baffled. Any ideas? I used the drive as a backup, but it has about 3 years worth of backup files, so I hate to lose it. Thanks for any help.
