Title: 1 TB HDD's in TeraStation Pro™ II TS-H2.0TGL/R5?
Post by: Tera_newbie on July 01, 2009, 05:38:52 AM

Dear Board,

I am about to buy a TeraStation Pro™ II TS-H2.0TGL/R5, which has 4x 500GB HDD's installed.

My sinmple question would be, if those HDD's simply can be replaced by 4x 1TB HDD's?

thanks for an answer

Technically yes it can be done but it voids the warranty.

Thanks for the answer.....

...this was only to know, what to do, when I will run out of disk-space in a wile....

I do not expect to run out of disk space the next one to two years; Since this is a used TeraStation (about 2 years old), it will be out of warranty then anyhow, and I can upgrade it...;o)

Is there any technically difficulties to be expected, when replacing the original HDD's? (e.g. not booting any more or wrong/old firmware...)?

thanks
