Title: Guest network possible with LAN port?
Post by: phish on June 13, 2018, 03:45:52 PM
Is there a way to configure a particular LAN port so that it only has access to the internet - similar to how the WiFi "Guest Account" works?

My use case is I have a security camera (https://www.amazon.com/Arlo-NETGEAR-Security-System-Siren/dp/B01LR8PG52) that I want to connect the WiFi base station for to the LAN port, but I want to make sure that no one else can hack the security camera and gain access to my entire internal network.  That way, if they do hack it they will only have access to internet based assets.

My current router is the WZR-D1800H.

Guest Network is not always possible with LAN port as I came to know it from Hotmail Support (http://"https://mailhelp.net/hotmail-support/"). But if you want, you can use a repeater to connect to the guest network and use the Ethernet port on it.
