Title: Link Station Back Up - Permissions issue
Post by: YVSound on April 05, 2018, 08:37:13 AM
I am using 2 Linkstation LS220 and the back up feature to copy from one drive to the other using a Mac. If I view Drive A I can see and access all the folders required, but when transferring the files and folders appear onto Drive B but I am unable to access some them. The copied folders have a small no entry sign and when I attempt to open them they a prompt says I don't have the correct permissions to view the folder, even though I am the owner of the files on Drive A.

As far as I can tell from the 'Get Info' tab on the Mac Finder I have the correct permissions to 'Read & Write' for 'Everyone' and have hit 'Apply to enclosed items', so feel like there shouldn't be any restrictions on the files

Is anyone able to advise where I need to change the permissions so all files are viewable on both LS220? Is this something I need to do on Drive A?
