Title: HD-CELU2 CHANGE MODE Automatically to LAN AFTER POWER ON
Post by: leo on June 28, 2009, 01:44:05 PM

Hello,

I just bougth a HD-CE640LU2-EU to back up 4 PC via ethernet.

I noticed that the drive always is in USB-Mode after power.

I found no option in setup to change this behaviour.

Is it  really the only way, to push the mode button to change the mode to LAN ?

Especially with automatic backup software like Acronis,

it is unwanted, when the target drive (here the HD-CD640LU2-EU) is not visible in network, because someone has forgotten to change the Mode button to LAN after power on.

Is there a hidden option in setup ?

Thank you in advance for helping me

greetings Leo

No, it will always boot into USB mode to start. Unfortunatly that is how the boot script is written.
