Title: Linkstation Live Media Server
Post by: Togsie on October 30, 2008, 07:09:55 AM

Hi to All,

I have a Linkstation Live which I'm really pleased with, the only slight niggle is the media server, it works Ok but seems to go to sleep if it's not used for a few hours. To get around this I have to login and do a "refresh" which is a bit of a pain as it involves booting up my PC.

Is this normal? Is there a work around?

Regards to all.

Togsie.

Depending on your model there might be a auto/manual switch on the back of it.

If there is make sure its on manual.  If not make sure you have the latest version of the software.

Paul,

thanks for your reply. There isn't a switch on the back and I am using the latest firmware.

I've found that a brief tap on the on/off button brings the media server back to life, I'm happy with that. It was just a pain having to boot up the PC to do a refresh before I could listen to any of my streamed music.

Regards.

Togsie.
