I have a TerraStation II Rackmount (TS-RH4.0TGL/R5) Earlier today I had to be rebooted due to being moved within the rack and did not restart. We have tried so far:
Restarting.
Restarting in EM mode
Restarting with various pulled drives.
Tried TFTP boot.
What concerns me most is that the TFTP boot option does not even seem to poll for the TFTP image. I detect no activity on the switch that was set up (only 2 devices are the TerraStation and the computer), and nothign is displayed on the window for the TFTP Boot program. Antivirus was uninstalled and Windows Firewall was disabled. I can see the TerraStation bring up the link, but do not see any activity over it. It just seems to hang during the EM boot process.
Has anyone else had this and would be able to give me some pointers? I didn't see anything when I searched.
What is the error message?
Do you know what Firmware was on it?
Can you boot from drive 1 by itself?
Does it give you an IP address? can you ping it?
What IP do you set your comp to for the TFTP Boot?
What Operating System? Have you tried booting into Safe Mode with Networking?
If your doing a TFTP Boot, I would recommend plugging the drive directly into your comp (no need for a switch here with just two things)
