So I just spun up a TeraStation 7120R for the first time. It went through some long startup process and is now stuck on an error message that says "lockfile (/var/lock/cron_update) is already exist! Has anyone had this issue with a new system right out of the box, and if so, how do I get past it?

It sounds like a simple case of the image not being loaded correctly from the factory but we need to be certain. Technical support can help you correct the problem and get the unit up and running ASAP.
I already submitted an email to tech support. Turnaround time is 24 hours so I'm still waiting to hear back.
