Title: Linkstation 210D won't boot up. 7 Red Flashes
Post by: wowiejr on September 26, 2017, 04:23:53 PM
I had to shut down and move my LS210D when I moved houses.

Now it won't boot up. I'm getting 7 red flashes when I plug it in and turn it on.

My understanding is 7 blinks indicates "Problem with the RAM, Ethernet Controller, or IDE Host Controller."

Linkstation will not show up to NAS Navigator or Flash Utility...

How do I get this working again? I have some data on here that I really would like to keep.

Thanks for any help!

You need the TFTP image to reinstall the unit from scratch to get it working again but doing this will erase any data on the Linkstation.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess I need to go into data recovery options prior to do that.

Is there a good way to transfer my data to a new Linkstation (Or other device...)?

I've done it by cracking open the enclosure and dropping the drive into a Linux environment and moving it from there...

Any other options?

Thanks!
