Title: HS-DHTGL/R5 Error E04
Post by: DiogoCDS on September 18, 2017, 01:35:20 PM
Hi there,

I'm a bit desperate with this.

This problem happened yesterday.

Whenever I start the unit it keeps looping the message "Loading Kernel" until it starts beeping and the Error E04 shows up saying "Can“t load Kernel"

I have 4 HDD - 1TB each

I've been searching and reading everything but cannot fix this.

This is what I've tried:
1 - Start the unit without any HDD - The same error happens
2 - Start the unit with brand new HDD's - The same error happens
3 - Start the unit in EM - A message shows up saying EM - Booting.... And just stays like that for ever (for ever is like 6 hours at least)
4 - Start the unit in EM and connect it to the computer or router through ethernet cable (RJ45) using TFTP boot - its like the cable isn't even connected, no activity light or anything (either on computer and router)

Out of ideas, I don't even know if its the HDD's that are not good or its the unit itself.

Would I be able to retrieve the data if I connect the HDD's to a computer running linux ?

Thank you very much and sorry for the long text.
